El primer post de este año, lo vamos a hacer para uno de los discos mas esperados en este 2010 que recién comienza.
Son los ya conocidos Vampire Weekend, que nos vienen haciendo esperar bastante la salida de su segundo disco: Contra.
"Como con el primer álbum, estoy realmente excitado sobre como está enganchada la música, la letra y especialmente la estética", comenta el vocalista Ezra Koenig.
En los últimos meses del 2009, los newyorkinos sacaron los singles Horchata y Cousins, para adelantarnos lo que seria el lanzamiento de su segundo álbum, del cual ya hace un tiempo que en blogs y revistas del género vienen preguntándose si será tan bueno como el primero.
Contra esta compuesto por una decena de tracks que sin perder el estilo de su primer trabajo homónimo, nos regalan canciones frescas, ritmos experimentales y algunos posibles hits radiales, que convierten a Contra en un recorrido de canciones simples y agradables, para comenzar este año bien arriba.
